Academy Rules
We rather hate these things, but unfortunately they're a necessary evil. Please abide by our rules before joining and while you're playing.
01) In our game (IC and OOC), anything goes until it becomes a problem.
Whatever the issue, you will be contacted and warned once. If you keep breaking the rules, we'll consider a ban.
02) We're big on maturity around here.
Our game is an NC-17 friendly environment. Because of this, we try to only accept players ages 17 and above.
03) Our escalation process is simple.
First and foremost, we believe in letting people settle their own disputes. Don't bring an issue with another person to us if you haven't already tried talking to them. If you cannot work it out together, escalate it to the moderating team and we'll work something out. If we can't agree, then it's rock, paper, scissors...best out of three.
04) Respect other people's threads.
Don't join a game that is not labeled [OPEN] which means anyone is invited to join. If it is labeled [CLOSED], the game is done. If it's unlabeled, those are private stories between one or more people. Use PM to invite others to start a thread with you. Or even write a solo thread fleshing out your character.
05) There is no overall plot.
The game is yours to shape. "Cerebro" or "NPC" (Non-Playable Character) will occassionally stir up the universe by posting good or bad announcement prompts that have a major societal, environmental, or political impact to our game. But it's up to you to decide how that affects your character, if at all.
06) There are no posting requirements.
Shocking, we know. RP as often as you like but please don't enter a private thread if you can't see it through to the end. In general, we are happy to check up on inactive players (no posts for a month or longer), but that's generous by our standards. Just let us know here at the Hiatus Updates thread if you'll be away for a while. It's not a problem.
07) Write to the best of your ability.
We're not the grammar or spelling police, but everyone sure appreciates your effort...
08) Standard rules of RP sportmanship apply to our game.
If you're new to RP in general, we have infinite patience for you and trust that you'll learn these soon enough.
09) Keep avatars no bigger than 150x150 and signature banners no bigger than 400x150.
10) When in doubt or in the event of a deadlock...refer to Rule #1.
